Leon Pors is the director and the curator of the museum. He has a Msc. in geology of the Rijks Universiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands, where he graduated in 1989. Leon´s career spans three decades during which he got the opportunity to get to know the natural environment of the leeward Islands of the former Netherlands Antilles rather well. He is an avid nature photographer and the producer of the nature documentary series ´Ecosplash – Korsou Salbahe (wild Curacao)´ and ´Ecosplash – the blue connection´.
Michelle da Costa Gomez is the chairman of the Curacao Footprint Foundation and responsible for the graphic design and social media marketing of the museum, tasks she performs on a voluntary basis. She has a degree in animal management from the Van Hall Institute in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. Before she dove into the foundation´s work she worked as an environmental educator and nature park manager. Michelle is also the script writer, presenter and voice over talent of the ´Ecosplash´ series.
