Museum of Natural History Curaçao

Website of the Museum of Natural History Curaçao

Because of the Covid-pandemic the decision was reached to move the museum from its location at Sta. Rosaweg #10. Our intention is to transform the museum into a virtual museum for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned for new developments!

Exhibitions

Pillow-basalts of the Curaçao lava formation

The museum offers the following exhibitions (please click on the links for more info):

– geology: the story of how the Island of Curaçao came into being. If you would like to know more about general geological questions, the museum can help as well. A collection of minerals, different rock types and fossils will give you an impression of the diversity of non-living nature on our planet.

– shells of Curaçao: shells have always been admired for their beauty. Come take a look at a collection of our local treasures.

– photo exhibition: the museum loves the phrase: a picture is worth a thousand words. That´s why photographs will always be an integral part of the museum collection. Admire the beauty of a hummingbird, or study little critters up close!
